Certas Fuel Stations
JSD Contracting are currently engaged as PSCS & Main Contractor on a number of Petrol Station fit out projects for Certas Energy Ireland Ltd.
The scope of works involves the reconfiguration of existing Tesco Petrol sites to provide solely unmanned service facilities under new occupancy.
These works typically extend to civil & structural alterations associated with the replacement of fuel pumps, car washes and service facilities, LED lighting upgrade, provision of a new site security infrastructure as well as decoration & full rebranding of the forecourt & secondary signage.
Sites have been completed in Clarehall, Finglas, Tullamore & Limerick to date, with further commencements scheduled across the midlands and south east in coming weeks.
JSD Contracting has commenced the construction of a new Boylesports Betting Office on the Main St in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
The project involves the demolition of the majority of the existing structure. Extensive temporary works will be required to maintain the existing front façade and gable wall during the construction.
A new single storey building will be constructed over the remainder of the site significantly increasing the footprint of the original building. Due to the poor ground conditions, mini piling will be required throughout to support the new block and steel structure.
The project is going to take twenty weeks to complete
Beaumont Hospital Mosque Prayer Rooms
JSD Contracting successfully handed over the Beaumont Hospital Mosque Prayer Rooms two weeks ahead of program.
The works involved the complete refurbishment of the two large prayer rooms and associated welfare facilities.
All existing fixtures and fittings were removed. New joinery, ironmongery, sanitaryware and flooring were installed.
New LED lighting was installed throughout and the ventilation system was upgraded. Bespoke stainless-steel washing troughs and furniture were made by a specialist for the wash rooms.
RCSI Glover Alley
JSD Contracting recently completed a conservation project for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland on Glovers Alley, Dublin 2.
Restoration works are being unveiled as the scaffolding is being removed as the works progress.
This conservation project included some of the following works:
Cleaning, repair, replacement (where necessary) and repointing of the existing brickwork and calp stone.
Restoration and re-glazing of all existing timber windows.
Installation of new cast iron rainwater goods. Stripping of existing roofs, replacing rotten timbers, treating remaining timbers insulating and reslating with blue bangor slate.
Removal, restoration and reinstallation of existing balconettes.
Cleaning and structural repairs to brick elevation and repairs to damaged granite sills.
